With the staff shortages that many healthcare providers are currently experiencing, it is important that we protect the health and safety of the staff that we do have! With nurses of all heights being found in any hospital department, it is time that we realised that standard height bassinets or working surfaces are a potential risk for back strain or injury. Instead, having a height adjustable surface allows for caregivers to do their work at a height that is comfortable for them, rather than having to bend over or reach up, improving their ability to provide better care with less chance of potential injury.
